GONORRHEA

Medically Reviewed By: Quentin Caswell, FNP-C
Last Updated: June 30, 2023

Gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted disease (STD) caused by a bacterium that can cause numerous reproductive and health issues if left untreated. It’s a serious disease that often has minimal or no symptoms. If you do have symptoms, some include a discharge and painful urination.  These symptoms are very similar to Chlamydia, so you might want to consider the Comprehensive STD Panel ‐ it tests for Gonorrhea and Chlamydia, as well as several others.

TEST DETAILS

If you’ve had unprotected sex (vaginal, anal or oral) with someone that has Gonorrhea, you should get tested.
