The Comprehensive Bartonella (ePCR and IFA) Plus Tick Panel test is a combination of the Bartonella Triple Draw Blood Test and IFA Serology, and  PCR Tick Panel. These test for common zoonotic diseases, which means illnesses that can be transferred from animals to humans.

TEST DETAILS

The PCR Tick Panel tests for four (4) tick-borne diseases:

  • Anaplasmosis
  • Babesiosis
  • Erlichsiosis
  • Rickettsiosis (aka Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever)

AM I REQUIRED TO FAST?
No fasting is required. You should be off antibiotics for at least 2 weeks prior to having you samples drawn. The Bartonella ePCR Triple Draw Test is recommended with blood samples taken on 3 days out of a 5 to 8 day range (e.g. Monday, Wednesday, Friday) due to the cyclical presence of the bacteria in the blood.
IS A DOCTOR’S ORDER REQUIRED?
No. You do not need to provide a doctor’s order to get lab testing done at Advanced Practice Clinic.
WHEN WILL I GET MY TEST RESULTS?
Test results take approximately three (3) weeks after your specimen has been collected.
