How Advanced Practice Diagnoses Hormone Imbalance

Navigating symptoms to get to the root of a health issue can be a difficult journey. Whether you’re experiencing weight gain, low libido, depression or infertility, a hormone imbalance could very well be the culprit. You may be asking yourself, “Well how do I know if hormonal imbalance is the cause of my symptoms?” That’s where we come in. From your initial consultation to testing, diagnosis and treatment, Advanced Practice Clinic is here to help every step of the way.

Consultation

Scheduling a consultation is the first step to getting to the root of your symptoms. Symptoms of hormonal imbalance in both women and men present themselves in several different ways. In preparation for this appointment, we recommend you take our Hormone Imbalance Symptom Checker. We designed this free tool to help you determine if your symptoms are signs of hormonal imbalance. During your consultation appointment, we will review those symptoms as well as your lifestyle to get an idea of what might be contributing to your symptoms and determine the best next steps for you.

Hormone Imbalance Testing

Given that your symptoms and lifestyle indicate a hormone imbalance, the next step is hormone imbalance testing. Just as there are several types of hormone imbalances, several hormone imbalance tests can be used to determine which hormone is contributing to your symptoms. The most common lab testing methods at Advance Practice Clinic are the saliva hormone test and the serum hormone test. Based on your initial lab test results, additional testing might be necessary. Rest assured that we only do the testing needed to achieve our primary goal of getting to the root of your symptoms and, ultimately, getting you feeling better.

Diagnosis and Treatment

Once we determine the culprit hormone, we will create a personalized treatment plan to get your hormones back in line. At Advanced Practice, we develop hormone imbalance treatment plans unique to you so we can solve the problem at the source rather than only treating the symptoms. There are several treatment options that we recommend for hormonal imbalances. Natural solutions such as high-quality supplements, nutrition programs and stress management programs are often our first course of action; however, we provide more intensive therapies such as bioidentical hormone replacement and peptide therapy when necessary.

Upon starting your unique hormone imbalance treatment plan, we are confident that you will quickly start feeling like yourself again. We understand the havoc that hormonal imbalances can wreak on your life, so temporary fixes are not an option for us. Advanced Practice helps you achieve a balanced and happy life – absent of hormonal imbalances.
